The quickest way to get started is to use the EETS online user portal.

Here you can create and manage engines, define crawler targets, set crawler limitations, crawl frequency, and results weights.

The following Key Steps breakdown these steps. Steps 5 and 6 may be skipped for the quickest startup, but will require a new engine to be created if you decide to use them in the future.

Key Steps

  1. Register in the Portal (once in contract, you will receive an invite to the EETS Portal)

  2. Click on Create New Keyword Engine

  3. Type in a name for the Keyword Engine, at least 5 characters long

  4. Set Crawler Target

  5. Set Crawler CSS Rules

  6. Set Synonym Table

  7. Click next until final page and Publish

There are other configuration steps that help to improve the quality of search results, such as URL Filtering and Page Relevance. These can be modified in the future by clicking on the three dot options button in the engine card and then "edit."

The following link walks through the setup wizard in detail.
